The Power of Praying Parents

Hi Reader,

I’m currently working on a book about Christian parenting. Are you parenting a child with health problems, addictions, mental health issues, or who is a slave to the devil? I was born with asthma, and I had many close calls between the ages of three to fifteen.

I remember the days and nights my parents would take me out of my bed when I was having an asthma attack. They would wrap me in their arms, praying to God for a miracle. They labored in prayer throughout the night and would not give up on me or my brothers whenever we were sick.

At the time, I didn’t know what my parents were doing for us spiritually. Later, I found out they were fighting and battling for me in prayer. I’m sure, at times, fear gripped their hearts, but they pressed over their fearfulness and trusted God. Parents who have a relationship with God know the devil wants to steal, kill, and destroy them and their children.

Jarius, a well-known ruler in the Capernaum synagogue, came pleading to Jesus to heal his dying daughter (Mark 5:22-41). As Jesus and Jarius were returning to see Jarius’s daughter, he received word that his daughter had died. Jesus immediately encouraged him not to fear, to believe, and she would be well. Jarius was determined to believe God and not give up.

Although my parents prayed for me and my brothers, they depended on other prayer warriors to pray in faith with them. Do you have a prayer partner or group to pray with you? If not, I highly recommend that you find one.

Anointed prayer groups are powerful!

Allow me to share this true story with you.

A lady in an abusive marriage went to court to get full custody of her children. She asked a few prayer warrior sisters to pray that the judge would rule in her favor.

As her husband spoke untruths about her, the prayer warrior sisters sat in court praying silently in their hearts. Later, the judge made his decision and granted custody to her abusive husband. As the judge began to walk out of the courtroom, one of the prayer warrior sisters stood up and screamed, “Lord, change his mind!” Abruptly, the judge turned and said, “I changed my mind!” He granted custody to the mother.

Parents pray together and find a prayer partner or group to fight and battle with you in prayer. Whether your child is a prodigal, fighting sickness, or a slave of the devil, don’t give up on them.

Let us pray!

Mighty God, parenting is not easy. For every parent reading this prayer, please grant them wisdom to raise their child and have a healthy discernment of their child's sickness. No parent wants to see their child suffering or addicted to drugs or substances. Give them faith to believe in miracles and divine healing and intervention.
In Jesus name, Amen.

Be blessed, God’s People.

I’m praying for you.

Hello Reader, When you think of yourself as a mother, what comes to mind first? Perhaps the meals you cook, the lessons you teach, or the sacrifices you quietly make. God has indeed called mothers to live natural lives—as wives, mothers, sisters, aunts, grandmothers, and more. But I want to ask you a deeper question: Have you ever asked God what your spiritual role is as a mother? It is easy to get caught up in the day-to-day demands of motherhood and forget that God chose you for something...

Hello Reader, I greet you in the precious name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. My heart’s desire today is to encourage you to focus on God, accept your calling, and make sure that you are living to please Him every single day. As children of God, we are not just here to exist. We are here to share the gospel of Jesus Christ and to live fully surrendered to Him. God is looking for vessels who are completely sold out for Him. This means fasting, praying, and refusing to let anything...
