Hello Reader,

When you think of yourself as a mother, what comes to mind first? Perhaps the meals you cook, the lessons you teach, or the sacrifices you quietly make. God has indeed called mothers to live natural lives—as wives, mothers, sisters, aunts, grandmothers, and more. But I want to ask you a deeper question: Have you ever asked God what your spiritual role is as a mother?

It is easy to get caught up in the day-to-day demands of motherhood and forget that God chose you for something beyond your natural life. You were created with a spiritual assignment that no one else can fulfill. Does it matter to you that God designed you to carry not only physical responsibilities but also a spiritual mantle?

Think about it for a moment. When your time on earth is remembered, will people only speak about your worldly accomplishments, or will they testify about how faithfully you loved and served God? Will they recall the prayers you whispered over your children, the faith you demonstrated in hard times, and the way you pointed others to Christ?

Many can describe our natural lives in detail—where we worked, the families we raised, the homes we lived in. But what about our spiritual lives? What will be said about the way you stood in the gap for your children, prayed for your husband, or mentored other women in Christ? These are the things that last into eternity.

I encourage you today to ask the Lord about your spiritual role as a mother. Seek His wisdom for how He wants to use you in your family, church, and community. You are more than a title or a role. You are chosen, appointed, and anointed to carry the light of Christ.

May we all live lives that reflect not only what we accomplished naturally, but how faithfully we lived spiritually.
